auld lang syne

the year is coming to and end
completing a wave of events
like closing in on a cycle
of uncertain substance
tumultuous beginning
with joyous moments finally ebbing
exciting times, without a doubt
have been throughout
through wisened eyes now seen
how things have always been
a new year beckons as it always must
i embrace it with peace n trust
for things will never stay the same
fighting it doesnt change the game

goodbye 2005, hello 2006.
